Vishal Dadlani comes to the rescue of troubled former reality show winner Azmat Hussian

The premiere episode of Indian Idol 11 happened today. We saw quite a few outstanding singers in the auditions. A couple of contestants stood out. One of them was Sunny, a shoe polish guy from Bhatinda, Punjab who gave an impeccable rendition of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s Afreen Afreen. He was selected for the final round. The other contestant was Azmat Hussain. The young man was already the winner of a kids singing reality show but was struggling in life. On the show, he spoke about how his popularity faded over the years and he had to cope up with it. Plus, there were financial issues at home. Azmat Hussain opened up on drug abuse saying he was lured into it by friends and it affected his voice. He got a chance to sing and the judges were not impressed. However, Neha Kakkar and Anu Malik wanted to give him a chance to rebuild his life and the fire within.

Azmat looked disturbed and said he did not want any sympathy. At that time, Vishal Dadlani said he was 18 and too young to lose hope. He said he felt that that singers/musicians from the world over were part of one family and one needed to watch out for another. His heart-warming gesture was appreciated by his co-judges.

We can see that fans have also appreciated the singer – composer’s gesture. We hope that Azmat makes the most of his opportunity and rediscovers his lost mojo. Stay tuned to BL for more scoops and updates!
