Bollywood is trying to stay true to the roots every time they shoot their flick in India. When films are shoot in a particular state of India, filmmakers are adding the local twist to make their flick looks as authentic as possible and it seems like the same will be seen in Jabariya Jodi. The Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer is set in Bihar and showcases the tale of grooming kidnapping. While nothing much about the film is out, a report in Mumbai Mirror revealed that the film will feature a Bhojpuri song to introduce Sid’s character and Elli Avram will star alongside him in it. The tabloid revealed that the song to be recreated for this duo is Kashi Hile Patna Hile.
A source said,
Since the entire film is set in Bihar, Ekta (Kapoor, producer) felt it would be best to recreate a local song. Up Hile a fun song with a lot of ‘nok-jhok’ between Sid and Elli in a marriage procession.
The source further added,
The basic tune of the original track has been retained, but the vocals were rewritten to make it more palatable for a pan-Indian audience. Sid plays a rustic character with an element of quirk, and the introductory song sets the template for what is to follow in the rest of the film.
The film which is directed by Prashant Singh was initially slated to release in July and later was pushed to hit the screens on the 2nd of August. We are excited about this new concept drama what about you?
